My daughter is 9 years old. She has blonde naturally wavy/curly hair. It is very odd. In the front top layer it looks straight and then as the hair goes back it gets curlier and kinkier. It is very dry and repels moisture. Alos, it has a lot of frizz. She is white, but she almost has the texture of an African American’s hair. Her hair does not ever get oily though. We have tried every product on her hair. (So it seems) I am getting very exasperated and her self esteem is dwindling. The girls at school are not so nice to her no matter how hard she tries to fit in. She thinks it is because she looks unkept all of the time because of her hair. Her hair reminds me of surfer hair or maybe even Janis Joplin hair. Do you have any suggestions on how I can help her? I wouldlove to embrace her waves and curls, but I will straighten it if I have to. Thanks! Heather

thanks much!
Hi…I’m wondering what your opinions are on store-bought (not salon-bought) hair products.
What are some of the best to use if you CAN’T afford to go buy stuff at a salon? Garnier Fructise, Tresemme, Pantene, Aussie, etc? Out of most of these, which would you recommend? I’ve heard to never use “Herbal Essences” I can’t remember why–something about too much alcohol in their products? What do you think?
Thanks.
